dancing with the hollows

The hooded figures hollow eyes glared,
while with his bony hand he beckoned me to join him.
I could feel searing embers burn below,
inside the shadow that surrounded my soul.
I became lost inside this demon's heartless fury.

The circle of fire I could hear it`s call,
it`s haunting beat strangled my soul.
In a zombie like trance
I joined this ungodly feast, and ball.
Then I danced with the faceless demon beasts.

A stirring wind suddenly blew, chilling my bones.
And emerging before my eyes a reaper appeared.
In a eerie voice he asked me
to follow him through the door.
I said "no, I still have so much life to live."

lightening flashed
and out of the light an angel arose.
"This one is mine!" to the reaper he yelled.
Then whispering to me,
"your time is not at hand, when your ready, into my cosmic realm you will be."

Suddenly the ground shook and tremored
The sky turned fiery red.
and the rivers ran with burning sulphur.
The angel and reaper began to fight and battle.
Their prize...possession of my soul.

then everything went black.
How long I was out I do not know,
but I reawaken in realities world.
Bathing in the shadow of the bright moonlight,
and the curtain sky of stars I could spy.
I asked myself.
               was that a dream
or did that really happen to me.
