Dancing With God
DANCING WITH GOD
By Stan Almendro ©
I love to see the raindrops frolic, falling to the ground
Watch the frogs go leaping, making the croaking sound
The cow that eats green grass yet gives us pure white milk
The silk worm quietly toils away at making beautiful silk
To watch a little boy play and pretend he is just the guy
When the sun goes down on him he gives a childlike sigh
A little madam with her doll just plays at being mother
But when it comes to sleeping time she has no real bother
Our teenage lass giggles, dreams and dreams and dreams
All these wonderful mighty guys make her want to scream
Then there’s Johnny, not thirteen, who boasts he is the best
He carries on about his quest and never fears the rest
And now we’re on to our dear mom who hold a gentle hand
Pleads our cause when daddies mad and does not make a sound
Yes there is our dad who shouts, yes boasts that he is the boss
About the aches and pains of life he does not care a toss
We look at such wonderful things dancing in the rain
See all our little girls and boys just doing the very same
All the difficult things which grows the human heart
In these times it’s good to sing, making life just start
Yes life and all its challenges and tasks for every day
Is what makes boys and girls all say yes this is the way
Of making our life so precious with laughter oh so loud
And makes us to all to believe that there is never a cloud
We do not need a band or song to set our feet a dancing
Because life with all its’ going on is oh so very inviting
All the things we say & do should free us from the load
Help us all to know that life is “Dancing with Our God”
