Notes About The Poem

Dancing In the Rain

The heavens have opened up, it is pouring outside.
The flowers and trees will be happy tonight.
God heard nature's thirsty cry, now all is well.
It is a welcome rain after a hot, dry spell.

Watching the rain brings back happy memories as a child,
Playing in a downpour, being free and wild.
You never see adults impulsively dancing in the rain.
Pure joy is at our fingertips, if we just act like a child again.

Your poem really made me smile Brenda - oh those carefree days of childhood where nothing phased us... I don't dance in the rain but i don't mind walking in it:-) hugs Jan xx

Thank you Jan. It's been awhile since I danced in the rain too.

Delightful, Brenda - a simple gift simply presented as a reminder to us all. I enjoyed your write. (Hey, some #s messed with the end of line 2, stanza 2.) All the best ... CayCay

Thank you CayCay. Yes I just saw the error. Sometimes when it posts it does strange things. I fixed it. :)
