Dancing In the Breeze
How often have I felt like this, my dear
How often have I felt
The breeze ruffling my hair,
Whilst you laughed and kissed me fair?
Times when we went to walk
Along the promenade
Sit on a bench and talk
And silently I prayed.
Will we live happily together?
Will we build up a great affair?
Will our lives beat the bad weather?
Who will listen to our prayer?
How often have I felt like this, my dear
How often have I felt
The breeze ruffling my hair,
Whilst you laughed and kissed me fair?
How many lonely years must pass
Before we tie our marriage knot?
Can’t you decide and solve our impasse
For I am not some worthless robot.
Perhaps the breeze will bring me luck,
You will accept me as I am.
All our tiny problems come unstuck
Like all those cars in our traffic jam.
How often have I felt like this, my dear
How often have I felt
The breeze ruffling my hair,
Whilst you laughed and kissed me fair.
We move on to the beach hand in hand
And feel your warmth despite the breeze
There on the sand we’ll dance to the band
Knowing all my wishes you’ll appease.
