Dance of the Shadow Woman
Dance of the night sky sneaked up, giving me a shiver
Over Norway’s horizon as I was floating on the river
A hush traveled through my heart, as I stared in awe.
Lavender shadow woman is what my imaginative heart saw.
Lovely in her grace, she was exotic and mystically sound.
There was no noise on the water, not another person around.
Faerie lights surrounded her, and a dance of sky began.
The Aura Borealis choreography was rapidly at hand.
My heart skipped a couple of times as I stared at the sky
There was no time to ask questions of who, where or why.
This was a God-sight that is magical and extremely rare.
I wondered if I was sharing this site with a large polar bear?
What else is here in this arctic night, my mind tried to ask.
This incredible loveliness made my happy heart bask.
I knew if I lived to be a hundred I would never see this again.
So, I silenced my heart; watching shadow woman, my friend.
