Notes About The Poem

This is really fun to sing. It really lifts your spirit and gets yu going. The tune to this old song from the fifties kept going around in my head so I thought I'd change the words a little bit and sing the song for The Lord. Of course I had to change the name too so instead of Dance, Dance, Dance which as far as I can remember is the name of the song I decided to call it DANCE BEFORE THE LORD.  I wrote this several years ago . I think it was back in 1998.

Dance, Dance, Dance,
Get up out of your seat!
Dance, Dance, Dance,
Make those floor boards creak!
Dance, Dance, Dance,
Send your praise to the sky!
The Lord He fills with joy and He satisfies!

Get up Brother, Sister,
Dance before The Lord!
To sit and hold your peace,
Is something you can't afford!
Give Him all your praise and His Name glorify!
Don't sit and put down something Brother you haven't tried!

You're gonna get The Spirit and you'll get the joy!
You're gonna feel like dancing,
When your voice you employ!
Get up on your feet,
Lift your hands to the sky!
Concentrate on Jesus, lift His Name up high

Dance, Dance, Dance,
Sing to The Lord above!
Dance, Dance, Dance,
Sing about His Love!
Dance, Dance, Dance,
He'll make you want to shout,
There's peace and joy with Jesus,
That's what He's all about!
