Notes About The Poem

For the Let's Do The chicken Splash Poetry
Contest, Sponsored by Mystic Rose Rose

Dance Before the Dark

All together, let us do the chicken splash, Seeing how pink-orange sun never lasts. Don't fight it, red stars are coming soon; Like the ducks, let dive in stormy lagoon! Through maroon monsoon, we all dance, splashing and laughing, in silver romance. Steel blue skies, cluck cluck. Run amuck! If still seeking that rainbow, best of luck. Hopscotch through puddles, sepia splash. We let go for once, under lightning's flash, very blue and true, suddenly electrifying! Shake like a chicken, with droplets flying. Dance purple raindrops and muddy water, All is not perfection, and all is not order. Dance for wild abandon and hollering fun, Dance before mauve midnight, dark ruin.

Hey there Ms. Evelyn, Evelyn I'm Jac short for my real name n so we have a Jac for girls. Rhyming poetry, I thank u for adding Rhyming in my vocabs bcoz I'm learning Rhyming n it's kind of hard bcoz English is my 2nd language. I invite u in my poetrysoup hp and choose a poem, some say it's a learning tool for him. I'm just spreading the good news about Eternal God. If u want, u can start to the name "Eternal" and work ur way up to resent. My poetry is mostly non fiction. If u want, u can comment

Hi Jac. It's nice to meet you. A rhyming dictionary would probably be of benefit to you. Once a person loves God, they've gotten the most important thing right. I will be reading your poetry. Have a nice day. :)

This brings laughter in a good way. I laughed at the droplets flying. Yuk. Good luck with the contest.

Delightful poem written with your usual excellent poetic acumen, dear Evelyn. Loved your alliteration. In Malta we begin the dry hot weather. Best for a win. Blessings.

You did this so very well Evelyn! I am praying for rain today across the Southwest, it has been so dry! It would surely be a welcome joy, and I imagine even the chickens will be dancing for joy, mud puddles would be a welcome relief!

Thank you for your wonderful compliment, BJ. I hope that your prayers for rain are answered, even to the extent that you see mud puddles and dancing chickens, ha, ha. I hope your evening is nice. :)
