Damn In Love
There was never a need to adapt
personalities rode the same tracks
good looking but had to hold back
and blind myself to the attract
Situated to only ever be friends
boyfriend drove her over bends
insult her face angrily threaten
I the comfort she’d depend
Deepening our bond and care
treasured as more we’d share
she’s taken but we were a pair
neither leave the other spare
unknowingly became too close
our lust grew notable on show
the one I never chose
I miss and love the most
