Damage Control: An Apology Poem

If the Result is Insult:
Rethink that course of thought!
For what can lead to the Heart's revolt
Is not the path I sought...
Wayward walking; trouble stalking
(When one lets loose their tongue!)
I can accept the poets' balking-
At least, when I cease to run,
And stop to take ownership
Of all the mistakes I've made
Vacation for my guilty trip-
As I apologize today

CHAN, what I don't like is when someone tries telling you that you are not doing the right thing. I think your heart speaks louder than others trying to keep others down. That does not benefit anyone. , CONGRATULATIONS, thank you for supporting my SMILE contest. :) Wishing you a Warm And Heartfelt New Year. Take care.... LINDA

Well, Chan I kind of smiled right away when reading your poem. It is nice, to set yourself free from all the negative feelings. That way you can breath easily. And know you did your part....xox..Linda

We all need peace and harmony. This is a sanctuary and we need to keep it that way. I was wrong so I came clean and I am starting over, and I hope everyone else who is having troubles or issues can set them aside and look forward instead of back. We all need a dose of humility, I think; myself included :)

I likes!!! and I see this one got Scott interested in your blog. I can proudly say that I saw the blogs you are referring to, and I enjoyed them! AS long as we respect each other's opinions, I think blogs are awesome ways to get to know each other.

We have the freedom of speech, until it offends someone else! Yet, we all need to speak our minds, whether other people like it or not. Sometimes things just need to be said and heard! But, I think that an apology to those we hurt is wise, too! Really good work, BP!

Nifty little rhyme, which I enjoyed very much. Of course, if we know in advance that our use of negative tongue will cause insult and do it anyway, who will honor our stupidity?

By far and large I am A Fool, Mark. This isn't a very strong piece, but it's an attempt at an apology, nonetheless. Thanks for reading :)

I've no idea how you offended anybody but why am I not surprised, straightforward being (lol)? No mind. It takes a big person to apologize, more so to do it publicly. Hats off to you for showing courage on that score. A hamper of hugs herewith laced with a goodly amount of tact for your next rant. Use it well, my talented friend. Licia :-)

Hey, Mustapha. Yeah, I kind of went overboard with a blog and offended a few people so I thought I would write an apology poem. I've been writing a lot of blogs lately (check them out sometime!). Nice to hear from you, my friend! :)

That's most certainly true, Jerry. But I was blatantly offensive so this is my attempt to atone for the mean things I said. Thanks for visiting and reading :)
