Daisy Chain

Daisy yearns so openly, Yet this summer rain, Nurtures sweet temptation, Nectars stoic chains. Explination I read a book on writing poetry by John Whitworth, one of the challenges was to write a poem where each word starts with the letter the previous one ended with - hence making a daisy chain. Hi,Nick Thank you for your welcome comments on my posting.Daisy chain is a good title for this poetic exercise. For purposes of PS categorisation I would use 'Verse'.The exercise has similarities to a chain rhyme. Chain rhyme is the linking together of stanzas by carrying a rhyme over from one stanza to the next.Best wishes with your poetiv endeavours.Rgds Brian

U must ask the Master on Soup.. Brian Strand.. he will be able to tell u what form of poetry this is... he is the Professor on Soup and the most experienced poet on this site ...extremely helpful too and runs most of the contests... yes.. I am guily.. I used Wikipedia to read up on how to build a spaceship for the contest as Matt Caliri is specific in his guidelines for entries... he mostly like those free verse types... I am a rhyme girl myself... thankxxx Nick for your comments.. luv..
