Daisy

Tender blooms, double decked, In white, blue, purple shades, With wild strawberry scent; She smiles in innocence, Stands, in modesty, bent...! Star-shaped floret clusters, Spoon-like glossy green leaves, Juice to creatures she gives; Sun or monsoon shower, She bears and gaily lives...! Symbol of chastity, Holy shrines she adorns, In gentle breeze she sways, Loyalty, love and luck, To the world she displays...! Her name means the day's eye, Her charm lures all poets, Her presence turns hearts young; Healing features in her, By many, have been sung...! 16 April 2022
