Daddy

I had a dream
That a man was here
I was crying,
And he held me near.
I said 'Daddy'
Between the sobs.
This man was my father,
He had this job.
Unfortunately, it was just a dream,
For I knew that it wasn't real
I would never have that
It's all so surreal.
I see all these girls,
Running around with their fathers
And I just wonder,
Why mine doesn't bother?
