Dad Don'T Hurt Me

Dad is a drunk
And mum is just the same
I love them both dearly
But they inflict me with so much pain
He threw me into walls
Punched me into floors
Forced me to the bed
Made me wish that I was dead
Bruises on my body
Bruises on my skin
Blood on my lip
Blood is on everything
He’s come home again angry
And mum is stoned and weak
Im all alone and defenseless
I just want to go to sleep
He takes me by the hair
And throws me to the ground
Kicking punching screaming
And I don’t make a sound
Tears soak the floor
And the tears are turning red
Please stop the pain
I wish I was dead.

Hi Tracey, this is yet another sad write that touched me deeply. And again I hope that this was not inspired by your own real life experiences. I hate to think that you suffered this kind of abuse from people who are supposed to cherish you. Very well-penned. Hugs and warmest regards. Pandita
