Dad...

How can you think,
im not giving my all?
How can you say
I dont try?

How is it
that you sleep
when you turn out the lights?

To me,
they're family.

To you,
they're just there...

I ask,
for a reason.
All i get::
'I'm the dad,
you're the kid,
and I decide.'

You say
you know all things.

This may be true,
but
You dont know
All people

Including me.

Can't you let me
live my life?

Let me laugh.
Let me learn.

And...
A few tears
may fall.
That's inevitable.

But they'll fall.
And they'll land.

In a familiar place:

Into the river.
Under the bridge.

That separates me from you.
