Dad

Dad, I'm writing this letter today Because I have so much to say. A year ago - you left this world behind, so many thoughts are running thru my mind. You took God's hand - you no longer could stay, To love, to laugh, to work or play. You've known me since I was three or four, And for a dad - I couldn't ask for more. You adopted me when I was so small, And watched me grow up thru it all. So many times I stumbled along the way, But you told me everything would be O.K. You knew my hip didn't work quite right, You said "Son - keep going, put up a good fight". The doctors didn't know what to say, Except that I'd never walk another day. You told me to prove the doctors wrong, You and mom backed me all along. Sometimes I'd ride with you to town, You always kept me walking - you never let me get down. When you were busy - I'd still have a ball, Cause me and mom would go to the mall. Sometimes we'd stop for a bite to eat, Then back to the mall and back on our feet. Remember when - we'd all go for a cruise ? It wouldn't be long, til I'd be taking a snooze. - Created By Robert Allison 2006 -
