Dad

This is just a little poem to help get through the day..
I can't be there in person to express the words to say.
Dad your pretty special and your battling on your own..
But know my thoughts are with you, and that you're not alone.

I wish I could make things better and see your wonderful smile..
But in time you will heal, it will just take a little while.
I know your pretty strong Dad, that gift was passed to me..
You've so many special qualities such as love and empathy.

As you know that part of living is accepting that we will die..
But death is a new beginning and it's not a final goodbye.
But the only way to heal Dad is for the grieving to start..
So keep these words of comfort and hold dearly in your heart.

Please call me anytime Dad even if its just to cry..
No excuses needed even for a quick hello and goodbye.
I'm proud to be your daughter but sad that I'm not there..
Im sending big hugs and kisses to you with lots of love and care..
