Cyber Friends
Do I really know you
although I call you friend
Friends made in cyberspace
disappear with no end
Do I really know you
just from your written word
Putting so much trust in that
seems rather absurd
Your words chosen 'careful'
your face I cannot see
Can I really know if
you're a friend to me
As said about the internet
you can be what you want to be
So are you really what you say
or are you deceiving me.
(Dedicated to a my best cyber friend ever.. RIP Gayle Stanley.. We became friends online, for 2 years we joined groups together, we talked about trusting people online, and eventually emailed or chatted almost everyday about out families and life and then she suddenly disappeared. She had MS, but had more drive and spirit than most people I know.)
