Curtains of Your Heart

Grieving an emotional bind
Curtain hung to guard heart and mind
Fraught with sadness, loss and pure blind
With pain of a loved one combined

Cruel effects on God's temple
Sleeplessness and absence ample
Of hunger, broken-heart angel
Flood-gate unleash in its chapel

Feelings of hopeless hopelessness 
Deep loneliness and worthlessness
Emptiness leaving sluggishness
Withdrawn in complete hollowness

Veil of the heart volume apiece 
Set the Spirit to life and peace

The only difference is that it is an 8 syllable count with a AAAA BBBB CCCC DD. I thought a sonnet had a 10 syllable with a different rhyme. Thank you for reading.. Hugs dear friend
