Curse

I never had
a normal life
couldn't watch a movie
without worrying inside
always looking around
trying to find
something hidden
from the light...

There was an answer
I needed to know
I spent my life
in this course
I didn't deserve
anything I saw
but I couldn't tell
what was going on...

Long story short
I'll say it loud and clear
thought I wasn't called
I am now here
life is too short
I have no many years
to cry this awful curse
until it heals.

Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The Lord's blessings be with you.

I hope the curse subsides with time; Though dark, there's beauty in your rhyme. My favorite line: "I am now here." Keep writing, Jess, and hold life dear.
