Crystal Death 2k11

Addiction,
reality,
non-fiction.
All is dark,
out of the shadows,
eyes of a
Great White shark;
Blank stares
beyond glass windows.

Syringes,
false smiles,
glass vials.
Void laughs harkend
therein the
presence of death;
'Crystal Death'!
Intoxicating moments
illy starkened.

Much dysfunction,
such malfunction
thereof mortal robots.
Of flesh
and of mind --
so rots
mortal robots.
A touch of
self-destruction!

Anthony, the great white line was my favorite way to see what you are portraying here.... no matter how you describe it,,, its a terrible way to suffer ,, and one ugly way to live tragically.. thanks for sharing... I have much more opinions on her... but I'll keep it simple... i truly enjoyed this poem,,, adding this to my favorite poems... take care,..p.d.

Police in Florida say crystal meth is the rage with young people now because they can purchase products to "cook" it legally. The disfunction and self-destruction of the drug is described vividly in your poem, Anthony. Some say it's as dangerous as heroin. Very powerful write! Best wishes, Carolyn
