Crying Skies
Crying Skies
Slate grey ceiling…
Somber feeling…
Puddles your kids wait to walk in
Materialize before our eyes
While thunder does most of the talkin’
Cold winds comin’…
Raindrops drummin’
Calls the god, Zeus, into action
Unleashing lightning, brilliant and frightening,
Splitting the sky with exaction
Air pressure fallin’
Forest birds callin’
Creatures all huddled in masses
Shiver and shake, their lives all at stake
Watching the storm till it passes
Sun saunders in…
Shower bands thin…
Rivers respond and run quicker
Oceans grow wide, still tickling inside
From Heaven’s abundant free liquor
The breath of the sea…
High humidity…
Clouds billowed on the horizon
Glow scarlet in morning
An adequate warning
That tempests and tempers are rising
