Crying In the Night

Crying in the night Standing on the edge Ready to take flight The one standing alone Terrified of the heights Lost and locked inside of yourself Taking on a losing fight All sense of hope is gone Not any kind of faith in sight Oh it was attempted To hold on with great strength and might The rope slipped from hands That were holding on to tight Clearly stumbling into bright darkness Cause one has turned off the lights Not does it matter as to what is wrong And just who is right All that is known at this moment is Love seems to be blind and causing nothing but fright With all this said and all that is done Love is sometimes blind and causes all sorts of frights Known at this moment who cares who is wrong Or what is right Stumble clearly in the darkness Of the incredibly bright light The rope that slipped from one hands For holding on to tight Can now once again be held with great strength and might And can also be attempted To finally find a new kind of sight Of hope and of faith Find and unlock the terror inside yourself As you climb to the highest of new heights You don’t have to be alone Standing on that edge Ready to take flight No matter what anyone does love often leaves you Crying in the night
