CRY OF MY HEART
Hear the cry of my heart oh Lord
Righteous Judge of all,
Mothers and Fathers and generations,
Will stand before you great and small.
For those of you judged when judged not,
Condemned when you gave grace,
Though innocent, made to pay a price,
Judged guilty in innocence’s place.
Your given pearls cast to the ground,
hated without a cause,
looked upon with such disdain,
Your tears brought them applause.
Your vindication in the Lord,
Set thy face as firm as flint,
His grace and mercy will restore the years,
for all of the suffering spent.
For evil repay only with good,
For hate, only love,
For backs turned, keep your open arms,
For stone, give only a dove.
For a testimony of your grace and love,
And just for the hope of you,
That they will come to revere the Lord,
And come into His truth.
God does hear the cries of the heart,
“I saw that!” He’s telling you!
“For all your loss, a hundred fold,
my child I’ll restore to you!”
Hear the cry of my heart oh Lord,
Let all be fulfilled,
For the Lord maketh rich those in whom He pleases,
Having mercy upon those He will.
