Notes About The Poem

Herbstastern, Autumn Flowers, Garden

Cry Me a Dawn

Cry Me a Dawn

we fought
and sought
the light
of night

one dance
took stance

puzzled
muzzled

for each
we breach
a path
with wrath

marked hex
what next

plunder
thunder

lightning
heighten

teeth bite
our night
tongue thrashed
hearts splashed

fate drawn
hate spawn
night gone
no dawn

bye curse
it hurt

by chance
ghost dance

connie pachecho
