Cry For Me

Cry For me
By Franklin price

Cry for me when I am gone
Don't hold back the tears
Won't wash away the memories
We've made throughout the years

Won't cleanse your mind of love we shared
As they flow down from your eyes
Won't stop the time we'll meet again
In Heaven bye and bye

When the crying's over
And I pray that soon will be
Think of all the happy times
We shared just you and me

Meant to be together
There never was a doubt
Lasting love and friendship
Are what our lives are all about

So let's enjoy the time we have
Let's pray for many years
Of happiness, love and friendship
Before the shedding of the tears

I prefer to celebrate the life of the poet. Honest and beautifully done.
