Crumbling

Your words sting like acid
And your mistrust burns like fire
Discord strung as a broken ballad
and you breath the ice of a liar

Falling once again in desolation
You forget your promises made consolation
I wither, a yearning dead heart
But every piece of me is pulled apart

Stabbing guilt rise like flames
You'll never truly understand
Burning in everlasting shame
Play your game, but never can stand

I try too hard, just to break
you pull away, never mind all you take
Again and again I hold keep you from falling
as all the while, I am left crumbling
