Cruelty To Humans

The runaway in the night;
		A note left to be read.
No chance to set it right;
		An overpowering dread.

The situation absurd;
		He wonders where to start.
Carefully chosen words;
		A sword enters the heart.

Their lives left shattered;
		Both futures untold.
His life left shattered;
		By her actions much to bold.
