Cruel Time

CRUEL TIME

                     Dr Ranjit Dutta

How can I ask time
To return my youth?
How can I tell someone
That I want to be young again ?
Alas! cruel time has
Stolen everthing.
While I feel
I become spellbound
I ask my Solitude
Whereabout my smiles?
My speechless solitude
Has no answer.
My countless dreams
Scattered in muteness
Sufferings chase my emotions
In sleepless nights.
My lonliness replies
Weeping in melancholy isn't easy.
Both my palms and toes are
Full of silica of love.
Yes, once I walked
On it's seashore
Holding hands together.
