Crossroads
Together we walked,
Side by side awhile –
You, on your road,
I, on my sidewalk;
You, in pursuit
of dreams yonder,
I, caught up in my
thoughts at hand.
Somewhere down the road, we came to a
crossroads and you chose to take a different
course, turned your back on me and walked away.
My path led me
down a dead-end street,
I turned around and
walked my way back
and found you standing,
Lost and beside yourself
at the very juncture
from where we went
our separate ways!
Oh, whither do we go now?
