Crossing Poetic Waters

Why write all this poetry when the most comments I get are three? The answer is quite simple, don't you see.. I write for me, not and never for thee. ..... Being an entertainer is hardly my goal. I realize I came here to share my total life and my soul. ..... Perhaps my poetry is worse than meaningless. Perhaps it lacks a thesaurus's finesse. ..... I started to post primarily so my family would have a written memory of me. Long, long after my spirit is gone, and I no longer be! September 14, 2020 1:30pm PST

Everyone likes recognition and some acknowledgemt. A poet has to acknowledge themselves first. Never mind the numbers after that, or the contest winners or POTDS. Joy comes from within. Word Hobo is wise to have no comments.)). Merci, Pangie x

My friend, you write from your heart, from a soul that seeks to give to others. That is the essence of pure poetry. Comments are fine and a moral boost but in the long run what exists as -your-- poetry is what matters. You and I both write for the same reason and with the same intentions. A fav.. God bless..

Love the title... And guess what: I too write primarily so my family will have some record of what I actually think... just in case anyone's interested... I know that I would love to know my grandparents' thoughts. But alas... Keep going for it, Poet! Ride that train down memory lane... :) gw

Gershon, so glad to know you write for family. After we are gone, then they will wonder.)) but in our case, I think it's a fabulous heritage. Money inherited, is gone fast enough. We will be here forever for them and their progeny, and the progeny after that. So though we pass away,our thoughts and poetry remain eternal. Panagiota xx and our DNA walks with them.
