Cross

We cross our fingers thinking this will sway the fates.
That somehow, this tiny gesture will aid in the production of a positive outcome.
We cross our fingers when we’re nervous, scared and excited.
We do it as a way to express how hopeful we are, that maybe things will work out
this time.
Maybe we’ll catch a break. Maybe things will be different.
We cross our fingers in hope—because in this crazy world, that’s all we can do.

Keep your fingers cross, I am coming. Yes we can hope or wait in anticipation.
