Crooked Thief By: Shaniki L. Smith Title:Crooked Thief March 22, 2018 There is a crooked thief that live among us This thief robbed me of time This thief robbed me of my future I'am black no matter where I go and still ask how I got this and that As begin black it seems like I'am always begin put on the pedal stool where every I go Nobody seem to believe in a honest black person Let me say that to you again Nobody seem to believe there is honest hard working black people I earn my way fair and square I worked hard and save as much as I can I pray each night for a dream That would probably never come true I earned a degree that I would never get a chance to work in Slavery Slavery ended in years years ago But today is 2018 and slavery still reminds Owning anything while black today is still a lie You own nothing You own nothing
