Crisis of Faith
She pounded the cold hard granite and cried
Lamenting about the fact that he died
Alone on the road and suffering so
Where was God then - she really needed to know
How could He let her dear sweet husband die?
In such a brutal way to make her cry
What she didn’t know was that God was there
Comforting her husband with loving care
He swept away his tears and pain within
Forgiving him all of his earthly sins
Embracing him with much undying love
He carried him home to Heaven above
Her faith was slipping between grief and pain
It would take some time to feel love again
She was always aware God had a plan
But felt so hurt that He’d taken her man
The days were dark and bleak after he died
In her heart she knew she must soon decide
To let God back into her mind and heart
Or let her great loss tear her soul apart
Soon she knelt down in reverent prayer
Whispering to God she knew he was there
She regained much faith in the coming days
And each night she would sing the Lord His praise
