Crimes Unknown

Confused and often left alone, usually for crimes unknown, no dialtone on the telephone, prayers prayed in monotone. The Earth revolved under our feet, while cracks widened in concrete, we sensed our world was incomplete, as they wallowed in deceit. ©Danielle White

This poem goes deep. I love the choice of words and symbolism flowing throughout. This is one that I will have to read multiple times to get different meanings out of it. Great job! Nate

Very compelling introspective write, Danielle. There are many today who feel confused and alone, as if outcast for some "crimes unknown." Nice work! Love, Carolyn
