Creek Rise

thick creek rise joins fog
                    deposits its presence
                          upon everything 
                                 coating with a shroud mist

the fern lace fennel 
           looks like white cotton candy
                        or a loosely woven white cotton blanket
                               drip, drip, drop sounds adds to the eeriness    

time is short outside
        so few minutes to enjoy
              God's glorious world
                        but
                    day's responsibilities call  

thank you, God
         a moment in time with You
                   helps me make it
                           through the day
