remove from me the taint of sin
so I can worship freely again
allow me to repent and atone
as I kneel before His Throne

fill me with the Holy Ghost

that which I need the most

full of belief and hope

give me the strength to cope
lead me not to my own understanding
for there's nothing I can change
let me heed what God's commanding
for this world is His domain

His death on that cross forgave my sins
the power in His blood made me whole again
the crucifixion that occurred on Mount Calvary
was the justification that gave me the victory
I'm now shaded by His selfless love
saturated with His sacred blood

no longer covered with the taint of sin
I can now worship freely again
