Cracks In a Nutshell

It was as though i was walking, but wasn’t moving.
Instead everything else but me was, so i wonder...
From east to west and north to south, I'd wandered.
By day and night,
and it was as though i was dreaming,
but i wasn't sleeping.
My eyes were open but blinded,
like when you crack a nutshell,
to find nothing inside it.
