Cower

When you make me cower I am
Less than a negative
Less than nothing
Less than wretched

When I false praise you I feel
Like a coward
Like a groveling animal
Like you're dutiful pet

When I finish cooking and cleaning for you
I'm tired but I smile
I'm hungry but I fein
I let you take me and I cry

It's my job
I am your wife
How I wish for the strenghth
to take you life.

Elba; You are a strong girl. There is a saying among my people - La chancla que se tira, no se vuelve a levantar. Meaning - The show that you throw out You never bring it back in. God bless. Lucilla

Very sad piece. Evidently he does not know what treasure he has and will lose it. I learned through love of Mi Milagros (Mi Sonrisa) that to help with work means more time to spend with her. Very minor spelling errors "Cower". Thanks for sharing this with us. Poetry is always good therapy.
