Notes About The Poem

Covid 19

Coronavirus tests are hard to come by
 Only severe symptoms qualify
 Many with no symptoms have it too
 Spreading it around to me and you

 If everyone is not tested
 Cases will continue to rise
 And thousands more will be infected
  Many will meet their demise

 Nurses in NY wearing trash bags for protection
 As they try to avoid the infection
 With no help from the feds being shown
 It seems we are all on our own

 Trump said it would soon disappear
 "Abra cadabra" he said with a sneer
 On the horizon things are looking bleak
 As he continues to make America weak

Andrea Dietrich April 10, 2020 at 8:48 PM I guess I listen too much to my daughter. She has all kinds of info on the reason behind the virus, and it affected my way of writing for emiles current contest. A pretty dire poem not posted yet.

Andrea Dietrich April 9, 2020 at 4:15 PM I did not see this one earlier. Yeah, it seems all is "too little too late" but I still have high hopes things will turn around. We can pray and that's about all we can do. Some are doing great things like sewing masks or giving food for free to the homeless. Admirable people. Not like the elitists who most likely unleashed this virus on the world. Modupe Sefunmi March 31, 2020 at 5:30 AM This is a lovely poem and it captures the reality on ground. I am in Nigeria and we are struggling to contain the virus spread. With 131 cases and 2 deaths as of today, we know there are many more unconfirmed cases. Three of our states are on total lockdown while some states are on partial lockdown. We pray life goes back to normal soon. Peace.
