Covid-19

COVID-19

Vulnerable folk staying home,
businesses fearing their demise,
selfish people stripping shelves,
many feeling their panic rise.

Let’s sit back and consider this,
could some good perhaps ensue,
after Brexit which split our country,
nurturing racism, hatred too?

Maybe folks will now be mindful,
consider those who are in need,
think less about wealth and status,
give their time, resources and deeds.

And when the crisis is finished,
country is healed, its norms repaired,
it will be a happier place as
people pulled together and cared.
