Courage
Beloved friend,
most dreaded foe,
cause of vast voids
that haunt me so
No matter
how insignificant - to some people - it might be,
you, mind, are my most beloved companion
yet most dreaded, most tremendous enemy
Life tells me to have courage!
I am trying
and yet I feel that still,
I can't prevent my soul from dying
Here I am, mind - once again
at an hour very dark
and though I'm trying to have courage
you make it very hard.
But come, mind, come,
be welcomed with an open and appreciating heart
no matter that your presence - more than once - has left me doubting
my choices or what people I let in my life take part.
Courage!
So, dreaded friend,
beloved foe,
I embrace inevitable co-existance
For exist we will, and none of us will go.
