Courage

I hit myself…
Just to hurt myself.

I bite myself…
Just to feel myself.

I hate myself…
It doesn’t feel right, being by myself.

I lock myself…
So I wouldn’t see myself.

I trap myself…
So I can free myself.

I chase myself…
To race myself.

I test myself…
So I wouldn’t grow
to detest myself.

I do all this to myself...
So that…
I wouldn’t give up on myself.
