Couplets

Couplets, wouldn't you know
Don't tell me, are the way to go

Rhyme and rhythm matter much
How many syllables are in the word clutch?

One, as in self, is what matters
But pillow fights spill feathers

The rooster crows three times in the morning
Don't tell me you didn't heed the warning.
