country living

honeysuckle tree grew renegade
giving my boys marvelous shade
eagle with outstretched wings is in the sky
a glittering butterfly is gliding by

country living gives my heart a rest
I’ve lived all over, but this is the best
there are screaming crickets down in the grass
a 747 next decides to make a pass

I love it until the 4th of July when all the neighbors with guns shoot them off
