Listen to poem:
Counting Sheep
During midnight hour thoughts run deep
into my mind anxiety creeps
world is quiet silence reigns
Eluded by sleep yet again.
Dark night does not comfort me
Worries gather I did not foresee
Fretful night there's no shuteye
Toss and turn impatient sigh.
Restless bed feeling dire
Mired in misery very tired
Decide to make tea and toast
Really is beyond a joke.
Back in bed longing for sleep
Time perhaps to count those sheep
Dark curtain fell on weary brain
Then sadly it's time to rise again.
