Countdown 4-3-2-1 By Franklin Price 04/03/2021 There is a countdown every time A missile goes to space Four,three, two, one then zero Then it's off to leave this place I thought about the date today April third of twenty-one Thought of going into space All the U.S.A. has done Grown from a land of aspiration Where the thought of being free Made us a country, as no other, That may soon no longer be I thought about the current times And the goals we've reached before And the government in D.C. That can't do that any more They have no plans for anything That for our way of life is good Have forgotten where we came from Where our founding fathers stood The government in Washington Is counting down, and fast. If we, the citizens, don't call a hold, We will soon have seen our last. There still will be a country We the People won't be boss Our rights and freedoms will be gone Our founders will have lost We still have the opportunity To work together, as if one, Marking tomorrow as day zero; The day that we've begun. Get involved and do your part Tell the ones in Washington If their next countdown is not for We Then your vote for them is done
