Count Your Blessings

Everyone has a story to tell
About blessings they've received
But some can't see the miracles
And go thru life deceived

A blessing can come in many forms
So count them carefully
Some can be life changing events
While others are hard to see

It may be a comforting word
When all we have seems lost
Or maybe just a word of advice
To help us count the cost

Look for a blessing in a calm cool breeze
On a hot and humid day
Or maybe an extra blanket
To keep the midnight chill away

To spend the last hour with a loved one
As they leave this world behind
Is a blessing we take for granted
That comforts our heart and mind

However you count your blessings
Remember they're wrapped in love
And don't forget to be thankful
For they come from God above
