Count Your Blessings

Count your blessings. But I can't walk. Count your blessings. But my food tastes like chalk. Count your blessings. But my eyes constantly water. Count your blessings. But I've lost my only daughter. Count your blessings. But I can't remember my friends' names. Count your blessings. But every day is exactly the same. But, but, but, but, but, but, But! But you're alive, and where there's life, there's hope. It's time to think positive ~ abandon the 'But' and the 'Nope!'

There is always hope, ALWAYS. This reminds me of the frog's fore-paw that is gripping the neck of the duck that has consumed most of the frog. I think poets give us hope.
