Could It Be You

I thought we’d always be together

And our love would always last.

I thought it would grow forever,

But instead, it’s fading fast.

We said until death do us part

When we exchanged our vows

And I meant this with all my heart,

But I don’t mean it now.

The love that we once shared, you see

Is dead and gone today.

I wonder now what it could be

That makes me feel this way.

Could it be you? Could it be me?

Why did it not work out?

Or is it smoothing else maybe

That we don’t know about?

I really thought you were the one,

But it turns out I was wrong.

The love that we once has is done.

I'm hurting all day long.

I don’t love you. You don’t love me.

That love has gone today.

I wonder now what it could be

That makes me feel this way.
