Corridors of Fire and Gold

Oh what of these glorious feet will you fly?
Inhaling all your colors so brilliant they daze my eyes

Bushes of fire put a spell on your mind
If you gaze at them long enough you will find

The hand of the Lord came down and dusted the soil
Brushed to a golden earthly lemon foil

He turned raw scenery into a pastel picture
Where it hangs in its beauty as a relished fixture

What an illustrious way to reach your end
Go down with all the colors you send

How shortly forgotten your splendor will be
Blowing in the wind and sadly set free

Beautiful write Laura, and I love the idea of inhaling colours. Echoing Sharon's words below, a huge thank you for the contest that you sponsored and I am deeply honoured to have received a placing. It's all thanks to Sharon that I found out about your contest and submitted my entry! Love, Nigel

Laura, how fleeting is this breathtaking season? Nature truly is miraculous. You have painted a most beautiful and (sadly) transient picture of autumn in motion. Excellent! Laura, just noticed your contest winners on the side here. Thank you so much for the efforts of sponsoring and for the huge honor of placing! Love, Shar xoxo
